Unburying Chinese American History in East L.A.

In 2005, a section of the cemetery was excavated during the construction of the light rail line. Over 186 gravesites were disturbed, the skeletal remains of more than 130 individuals were removed, and grave markers of deceased Chinese persons were found lining a roadway of the Crematorium.
